Prof. univ. dr. ing. Viorel Stoian

   

  Dl. Viorel Stoian este Prof. Dr. Ing. in domeniul Mecatronica si Robotica la Universitatea din Craiova. A absolvit Facultatea de Electrotehnica in 1983 cu titlul de inginer in profilul Automatizari din cadrul specializarii Automatizari si Calculatoare. Este doctor din anul 1998 in domeniul Sisteme Automate avandu-l coordonator pe Prof. Dr. Ing. Mircea Ivanescu de la Universitatea din Craiova. In cadrul Facultatii de Automatica, Calculatoare si Electronica preda urmatoarele cursuri: Aplicatii ale Sistemelor Robotice, Roboti, Dinamica Sistemelor Mecatronice, Baze de Date, Limbaje de Programare pentru Baze de Date.

      Activitatea sa de cercetare este concentrata in domeniile: sisteme neconventionale de control pentru sisteme robotice si mecatronice, modelarea si controlul robotilor hiper-redundanti, controlul robotilor in aplicatii speciale, modelarea, proiectarea si implementarea bazelor de date utilizand metode fuzzy. Este autorul a peste 25 de articole stiintifice, peste 100 lucrari stiintifice prezentate la conferinte si simpozioane nationale si internationale si a 12 carti sau manuale (autor sau co-autor). Are 2 brevete de inventie: Brevet de invenţie nr. 100 948 din 09.03.1988 si Brevet de invenţie nr. 103262 din 28.01.1989.

      De-a lungul activitatii a fost un participant activ in cadrul activitatilor de cercetare desfasurate de colective ale Facultatii de Automatica, Calculatoare si Electronica din Craiova si ale centrului de cercetare Mecatronica si Robotica. A fost, de asemenea, recenzor pentru: granturi CNCSIS, conferinta de la Bialistock, Polonia, teze de doctorat la Facultatea de Mecanica din Vilnius, Lituania. A participat in peste 30 de proiecte nationale cum ar fi: “Controlul robotilor in operatii de asistenta pentru persoane defavorizate”, “Dezvoltarea cunoaşterii asupra tehnologiilor de elaborare şi microprocesare a materialelor nanostructurate pentru componente ale MEMS”, “Proiectarea virtuală a unor aplicaţii mecatronice şi robotice specifice industriei automotive şi transporturilor”, etc.

      Un alt aspect semnificativ il constituie colaborarile cu organizatii industriale: FORD S.A. Craiova, ELPRECO S.A. Craiova, Fabrica de bere HEINEKEN S.A. Craiova, TERMOCENTRALE Craiova, POPECI S.A. etc
